1100 and 5052 aluminum circle discs for cookware

　　An aluminum circle for cookware incorporates 1050, 1060, 1070, 1100, 3003 and 5052, among which 1100 and 5052 are two representatives, from respectively 1xxx and 5xxx series. 1xxx aluminium is featured by mature simple process, weak hardness, good corrosion resistance and low price, while 5xxx circles stands for a higher level in any of the aspects above.

　　1100 aluminum circle is of industrial pure aluminum, with the aluminum content (mass fraction) of 99.00%, and can not be strengthened by heat treatment. It has high corrosion resistance, conductivity and thermal conductivity, small density and good plasticity. Although it’s softer in comparison to alloys of other series, 1100 is the hardest of 1000 series, proving to be a better material for cookware than 1050, 1060 and 1070.

　　Aluminum 5052 circle, the strongest in both hardness and corrosion resistance among aluminum alloy circle sheets, shows an excellent fatigue resistance and high plasticity. It can not be heat treated, but its anodizing effect is perfect. If 1100 aluminum circle is used to make common kettles and pots, 5052 aluminum circles are applied to fancy cookware like pressure cookers and pizza pans. Moreover, they can be anodized and coated, which improves their performances in either strength or corrosion resistance.
