Writer:Admin Time:Difference between Hot rolling and Cold rolled aluminum coils can be explained in so many different ways but the text book explanation is that hot rolling is rolling above the recrystallization temperature while cold rolling is rolling done below the recrystallization temperature. During hot rolling new equiaxed grains are formed while in cold rolling the grains are strained and need to relieved of this strain by annealing.
